This special event holds particular significance as it features the set that The Sunday Night Singers have been invited to present at the Western Division American Choral Directors Association Conference (ACDA) in Pasadena, CA. This conference gathers choral conductors and experts from across the west coast, and the SNS is honored to showcase their powerful set to this distinguished audience in March.

The choir recognizes the importance of sharing this impactful set with the community, which is why they have organized this concert. By bringing this performance to a wider audience, The Sunday Night Singers aim to connect with the local community and offer a preview of the set that will be presented at the prestigious conference.

Through poignant compositions like Ayudame! by Carlos Cordero and Privilege: No. 5. We Cannot Leave by Ted Hearne, this concert offers a deeply personal portrayal of the immigrant journey.

One of the highlights of the evening is the world premiere of Sin Una Despedida by Brian Quan, a composition exploring the emotional complexities of deportation and family separation. This powerful piece reflects the real experiences of some of our singers, adding a profound personal touch to the concert.

By presenting this set in the context of our singers' experiences, the choir hopes to evoke a deeper understanding of the emotional journey that many immigrants face. It's a unique opportunity for the audience to connect with the singers on a personal level and to recognize the shared humanity within these stories."

"Our American Story: Aqui Estamos" promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with authentic storytelling, an emotional performance, and a celebration of the rich cultural makeup that defines the American experience.
